Self-introduction (Formal)

Dear Professor Brad, The purpose of this letter is to introduce myself as a student currently in your class of effective communication. My name is Ian Koh from Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering (Land). I graduated from Singapore Polytechnic in 2016 with a diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. I decided to join SIE (Land), as it allowed me to explore deeper in the ever-changing world of the land transport industry. Due to our country lack of land and resources, I believe that being sustainable is essential. As a Singapore citizen, I had gone through national service and posted as a network specialist. It requires us to manage the SAF networks. The end user that faced difficulties would contact us and that is where my strength as a mindful listener comes in. As time to time, we would have frustrated user calling us and complaining about their situation. In order to have a conversation, we need to be patient and mindful. Proper guidance could only be giv

Reflection in real life (U3 T2)

During my secondary school days, my classmate and I socialize through gaming that will be played till late at night which caused us to neglected all the homework that was given. Having not enough sleep we couldn’t pay attention for the next following day's classes. Things started to change when we failed some of our midterm modules, and our parents were called in regarding our behavior in class. Ever since that incident, we knew that changes need to be made, we formed a study group and consult our respective module teacher for further clarification. We would often stay back after school to recap of what is learned on that day. Once fully understood we would proceed to finish all our homework by completing everything in school we could enjoy our game once we reach home.
